Job Title: Lead Musician (Part Time)
Job Description:
Deep Run Church is prayerfully seeking a spiritually gifted leader and skilled musician who will further develop the music ministry of our young and growing congregation (on a part-time basis).
- Plan musical portions of weekly worship services.
- Oversight and mentoring from/ collaboration with pastor (a former professional church musician who could offer guidance and discipleship).
- Personal weekly preparations and rehearsal.
- Communications with/ administration of volunteer musicians and ensemble-rotations.
- Gathering volunteer musicians for weekly rehearsals.
- On-site equipment setup, prep, leading in Sunday worship, and pack-up (Sundays 9am-1pm in our rented facility).
Paid or Volunteer: Paid
Housing: N/A depends upon circumstance
Special Qualifications:
- Will develop the music ministry and nurture volunteers in a manner consistent with a Reformed and Presbyterian theology and worldview.
- Will become proficient (if not already) with Planning Center, CCLI, YouTube, Keynote, etc.
Hours per Week: 10
Worksite Location (in person, virtual, etc.): In person
Expected Length of Need: Indefinite, with an initial six-month evaluation, then reevaluated annually.

Formed in 2014 we are a Gospel-centered, missional, Reformed church committed to making disciples of Christ in the community of Westminster and Carroll County, Maryland. Westminster, on the edge of the metro-Maryland region, is an old college-town at the heart of a traditionally agricultural county and its changing culture. Deep Run Church’s Vision is to cultivate a community that seeks to discover the depths of Christ’s love, grow in his truth, and bring his hope to our county and our world (John 7:37-38). We are in close partnership and affiliation with the mission and work of Chesapeake Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).
